Search, attachment of route points

On the new Maps.lt website you can perform search for the fastest and the shortest routes. This is a great tool helping to plan for both business and leisure trips and saving your time and money. On Maps.lt website you can perform route search between no more than 4 route points marked.

Route planning is started from indicating route points. A route point may be any point object on the Maps.lt map which can be identified and any point marked on the map by clicking on it.

There are several options for choosing route points:

When using standard Maps.lt search and having found the object needed (selecting it to be shown on the map), the user will see a window with additional information next to the map displayed:

Apart from functional links Search Around, E-Mail Link and Link To Here, the window of additional information also shows the link Include In Route. Clicking on this link activates the route search bar (on the toolbar to the left of the map) and the corresponding point is included in the route. route points are included in the order of entry but you can change them in between at any time thus looking for the optimal route option.

No more than 4 points may be included in the route!

Search for objects is started by pressing Enter Point (). In the standard Maps.lt search bar for objects formulate the query needed and press Search (). Search results are presented on the same Route Search bar. Click on the entry of the object found and this point will automatically be included as a route point.

Another way to specify a route point is to mark it on the map. By choosing Click tool() fix the map location you need by clicking on it. After marking the location the route point is automatically added to the route search bar.

Making the Route

Points specified as described above are displayed on the Route Search bar:

After the route search is performed, the same bar shows the breakdown of the route found and the map displays the route visualisation:
